twice a year NBC CT digital time display is off by an hour (& 4 minutes) as...1)the software is obsolete & non-compliant w/congressional time change mandates....2)NBC CT administration is either oblivious to or apathetic about the problem.this post continues each time change window until responsible NBC CT staff does the right thing & updates the software 4 the digital time display in its window, 129 church st new haven. What are the current rules for Daylight Saving Time?
The rules for DST changed in 2007 for the first time in more than 20 years. The new changes were enacted by the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which extended the length of DST in the interest of reducing energy consumption. The new rules increased the duration of DST by about one month. DST will now be in effect for 238 days, or about 65% of the year, although Congress retained the right to revert to the prior law should the change prove unpopular or if energy savings are not significant. At present, Daylight Saving Time in the United States

•begins at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday of March and
•ends at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday of November

thursday 26 april:response to "has the issue been fixed":unknown.for a leading media unit to be so unresponsive & clueless re this persistent software flaw,it is unknown whether NBC-CT even tracks seeclickfix, much less responds to community concerns to update software & accurately reflect reality.as of today?the hour is correct, but is still 4 minutes fast.the rest of the community seem to know what time it is,but not NBC CT.
